SATURDAY SCHOOL Saturday School--There will be 7 more Saturday Schools. The first one will be this Saturday, January 7th at 8am sharp. Bring something to work on or a book to read. The last Saturday School will be February 18th.


ADVISORY The next advisory is on February 1.


ATTENTION: 9th-11th grade students, Lindenwood University is offering the Lion's Pride Project Summer Youth Leadership Program in St. Charles, MO from June 13-15. This program is designed for students who want to help others and who demonstrate leadership skills. The cost is $375. If interested see Mrs. Willhite in the counseling office.


FCCLA Attention FCCLA members our next meeting will be February 7. Try to attend; our club shirts should be in. We will be making plans for our scholarship fundraiser.


SCHOLARSHIP 9th-12th grade students, you can now apply for the Best Buy Scholarship Program online at www.bestbuy-communityrelations.com .Deadline is February 15th, 2012.


SOPHMORES & JUNIORS Sophomore and junior students the Missouri Innovation Academy is now accepting applications to their science, technology, engineering and mathematics summer program from June 10-30 at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. Cost is $1,500, however there are scholarships available for those students who qualify. If interested, see Mrs. Willhite.


SENIORS Seniors don't forget to take a look at the James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship online at http://sms.scholarshipamerica.org/westlake/ . Guidelines of a 2.5 G.P.A and a adjusted gross income of 50,000 or less. Deadline to apply is February 1st.


SENIORS Seniors, the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program is now open to students who plan to major in one of the following: Technology, Engineering, Math, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or Design, and have an interest in a career in the automotive or related industries. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, participation and leadership in community and school activities, work experience, educational and career goals, academic achievement and unusual circumstances. Special consideration is given to: being a first-generation college student, female, minority, military veteran or a dependent of military personnel. The scholarship program will award 100 renewable scholarships for up to $25,000 per year and 1,000 non-renewable scholarships for $2,000. If interested go to buickachievers.com .


SENIORS Seniors the KFC Colonel's Scholarship is open. You must have a G.P.A. of 2.75 and plan to pursue a bachelor's degree to apply. If interested go to www.kfcscholars.org


SENIORS Seniors the National Defense Transportation Association Scott/St. Louis Chapter Scholarship Application is now available in the counseling office. Your parent/guardian must be a Scott/St. Louis NDTA chapter member for you to apply. If interested see Mrs. Willhite


SENIORS Seniors the American Legion offers several scholarships to those students who are a descendant of a veteran. If interested in looking at these scholarships go to http://www.missourilegion.org/default_016.htm .


SENIORS If you are planning on going to MAC there is a Mineral Area Scholarship form that is due February 1st. You must fill out the form, have one recommendation letter, and write a one page essay about your educational goals. There are also scholarships for Art and Music.


SENIORS Seniors, the Missouri Insurance Education Foundation Scholarship is now available to those students who are interested in pursuing a degree in insurance, risk management, or actuarial science. If interested stop by the counseling office and see Mrs. Willhite to pick up an application. Deadline to apply is March 31st.


SENIORS Seniors interested in attending Lindenwood University should check out the Black and White Ball Scholarship. You must have a 2.5 G.P.A. and have financial need. If interested see Mrs. Willhite. Deadline to apply is March 1st.


SENIORS There will be a Project Graduation meeting in the library on Wednesday, February 1st at 5:00pm.


SENIORS Seniors interested in pursuing a career in agriculture should check out the National Farmers Farm Kids for College Scholarship at http://www.nfo.org/Scholarships/Default.aspx . Deadline to apply is March 12th.
